Describe your experience in conducting soil and land assessments and developing land use plans.

I have conducted soil and land assessments and developed land use plans during my previous role as a Natural Resource Technician. In this position, I worked closely with senior staff to collect data on soil composition, fertility, and erosion rates. I also conducted surveys to assess land suitability for different uses such as agriculture, forestry, or conservation. Based on my findings, I helped develop land use plans that considered the ecological needs of the area while also maximizing its potential for sustainable resource management. My experience in using GIS and mapping software allowed me to create visual representations of the data collected, which were used to guide the decision-making process.
