Tell us about a time when you had to collaborate with other campus departments.

During my time as a Residence Life Coordinator at XYZ University, I had the opportunity to collaborate with other campus departments on several occasions. One notable project was the annual Welcome Week, where we worked closely with the Orientation and Student Activities departments. We coordinated efforts to create a seamless onboarding experience for new students. I collaborated with the Orientation team to develop a schedule of events that would introduce students to campus resources and build a sense of community. Additionally, I worked with the Student Activities department to organize social activities and team-building exercises. Through effective communication and teamwork, we successfully executed a week-long program that helped students transition into university life.

Together, we organized a series of workshops, panel discussions, and cultural celebrations that explored topics such as cultural identity, social justice, and allyship. I took the lead in coordinating the schedule, securing guest speakers, and ensuring the event logistics ran smoothly. The collaboration presented a unique challenge of bringing together diverse perspectives and ensuring meaningful engagement from our residents. To address this, I facilitated regular coordination meetings and encouraged open dialogue to ensure the events were inclusive and relevant to our residents' needs.
