Tell us about a time when you encountered a challenge during field work and how you resolved it.

During field work, I encountered a challenge when I had to track a specific species of bird in a dense forest. The bird was known for its elusive nature and it was difficult to spot and identify. To resolve this challenge, I decided to collaborate with a local bird expert who had extensive knowledge about the behavior of this species. We spent days observing their feeding patterns and studying their preferred habitats. Eventually, we were able to locate a nesting site, which gave us the opportunity to observe the birds up close. This allowed me to collect valuable data on their mating rituals, nesting habits, and population size. By leveraging the expertise of the local bird expert and staying persistent in our efforts, we successfully overcame the challenge and obtained meaningful data for our research.

During field work, I encountered a significant challenge when I was tasked with conducting a population census of a rare species of snake. The terrain was rugged and the snake was known for its cryptic coloration, making it difficult to spot.
