Tell us about a time when you had to overcome resistance or skepticism towards geothermal energy solutions.

During my previous role as a Geothermal Geologist, I encountered resistance and skepticism towards geothermal energy solutions from a community we were proposing a project to. I decided to address this issue by organizing a public information session where I presented the benefits of geothermal energy and answered any questions or concerns. I also invited industry experts to provide additional insights and success stories. To make the session more engaging, I included interactive activities and demonstrations. The session was a success, as it helped to alleviate the skepticism and build trust within the community. As a result, we received support from local stakeholders and were able to move forward with the project.

By transparently sharing this information with the community, we were able to maintain trust and address any concerns promptly. Moreover, throughout the entire process, I actively sought feedback and input from the community, fostering a sense of co-ownership and collaboration. This exceptional approach allowed us to overcome resistance and skepticism, resulting in widespread community support and the successful implementation of the geothermal energy project.
